Position Summary The Structural Material Handler ships finished goods in good condition according to SOP.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Licensed forklift truck operator
- Experience with inventory/shipping a plus
- Good computer skills
- Good verbal communication skills
- Good organization skills
- Good time management skills
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented
- Ability to read and write English and use basic math
- Ability to effectively build relationships with co-workers.
- Ability to work under pressure with time constraints.
- Ability to complete assigned training in a timely manner.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
Responsibilities
- Banding and strapping product to skids making sure it secure.
- Loading and unloading materials onto and off trucks
- Operating industrial trucks, sit down forklift, stand up forklift, and cranes.
- Building skids/ crates (Some Carpentry Required)
- Banding I beam and columns in bundles and loading them on flatbed trailers.
- Some computer skills are required when staging products for shipping and loading.
- Some outside work unloading pallet trucks and organizing pallet area.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Employees are responsible for complying with all requirements of Daifuku's QMS policies and procedures.
- Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction
