About The Position

Some mandatory overtime may be required, and voluntary overtime may be available. Shift hours: 3PM – 1:30 AM Monday through Thursday. Responsible for operating forklift trucks to perform all material handling assignments. Properly stores, transfers, ships and receives raw materials, packaging goods and finished products in a safe and orderly fashion. Maintains the quality of perishable items. Supplies processing and packaging rooms with proper supplies as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must be able to successfully attain powered industrial truck operating certification.
  • Experience in operating hi-lo, fork truck, power jack and shrink wrap equipment
  • Basic mechanical aptitude, computer use knowledge, and good math skills
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Works in a safe, accident-free manner.
  • Must be self-motivated and have good oral/written communication with others.
  • Effectively communicates verbally and written with Team Members and Management
  • Works respectfully with all team members to ensure the Safety, Quality, production and support of our products and goals on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

  • Operates and maintains power lifting equipment.
  • Moves or lifts up to 75lbs
  • Performs daily inspection and preventative maintenance of power equipment.
  • Adheres to company policies, procedures, GMP’s and SOP’s.
  • Responsible for overall cleanliness & organization of Warehouse.
  • Ensures all lift truck batteries are charged, clean, & filled properly daily.
  • Assists Warehousers as needed.
  • Ensures compliance to quality, food safety and HAACP support programs
  • Assures conformity to all company, customer and government standards.
  • Works in a safe, accident-free manner.
  • Perform other duties as required or directed.
