About The Position

Structural Line Group Leader Nucor Building Systems Indiana (NBSIN) is seeking a driven and hands-on Structural Line Group Leader to join our team. In this role, you’ll lead from the front—owning safety, developing teammates, and driving daily production performance. This is an opportunity to make a direct impact on both people and process in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, while building a team culture rooted in accountability, continuous improvement, and results. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Demonstrated Leadership Experience, either formal or informal.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience or cross training related to building systems structural operations.
Prior professional leadership experience.
Current AWS and/or CWB weld certifications.

Responsibilities

Lead Safety & Compliance: Champion a safety-first culture by enforcing policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards while proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
Coordinate Cross-Functional Workflow: Partner with internal teams to ensure production schedules, resources, and priorities are aligned for efficient operations.
Maintain Critical Records & Reporting: Accurately track and manage documentation related to safety, production, inventory, attendance, payroll, equipment maintenance, and teammate performance.
Develop & Coach Teammates: Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and development opportunities to strengthen team capability and performance.
Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement improvements across safety, quality, cost, and productivity to enhance overall team effectiveness.
Support Hands-On Operations: Assist with production activities as needed, including operating equipment and supporting day-to-day floor operations.
