About The Position

Skillforce is currently seeking highly experienced Structural Fitters for a 4-month working up to 56 hours a week for an industrial project in Covington, TN. This project will involve fabricating large industrial stacks inside the client’s fabrication shop.

We are looking for true journeyman-level fitters who can independently read blueprints and fit up materials for welders with minimal supervision.

Pay is up to $34 hr. depending on experience, skillsets, and certifications. Per Diem $100 per days worked.

Requirements

• 8+ years of structural fitting experience preferred
• Strong blueprint reading and layout skills
• Experience fitting for welders in industrial or fabrication settings
• Must have all tools required for journeyman-level work
• Must have proper PPE and safety gear
• Ability to work overtime consistently

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret structural blueprints and shop drawings
• Fit up structural components per specifications
• Measure, cut, and tack materials accurately
• Set up materials for welders
• Fabricate large industrial stacks
• Maintain production and quality standards
