About The Position

STV is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Structural Engineering Intern to join our team. This internship offers an opportunity for undergraduate and graduate-level candidates to work alongside our experienced team, learn, and contribute to meaningful projects. This hybrid position requires at least 3 days a week in the office. Preference will be given to those who can participate in the internship for at least 3 months and can work full-time.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering at an ABET-accredited University or NCEES equivalent.
Detail-oriented and willing to learn.

Nice To Haves

Experience in the architecture/engineering/construction management industry.
Exposure to structural analysis software such as ETABS, RISA 3D, and TEDDS.
Experience with Revit for drafting and detailing.
Understanding of Building Codes
Exposure to structural materials (steel, concrete, timber, and masonry).

Responsibilities

Assist in the design and analysis of buildings and other structures in steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.
Support the preparation of design calculations, construction drawings, and technical reports.
Review shop drawings and respond to RFIs.
Assist in preparing project documentation, including reports, proposals, and presentations.
Learn and apply relevant industry standards and best practices in structural design and inspection.
Perform other tasks as assigned to support project goals and team objectives.
