As an Associate at DeSimone Consulting Engineering, you’ll bridge the gap between technical excellence and business leadership.   • Lead and oversee structural design and analysis using ETABS, SAP, RAM, and related tools.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Coordinate with architects, clients, and municipal agencies to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to engineers and project teams.
  • Support business development through client relationships, proposals, and industry networking.
  • Represent DeSimone at conferences, events, and professional forums.
  • BS or MS in Structural/Civil Engineering
  • 10-15 years of experience in structural design and project management for building structures.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required; SE license preferred.
  • Proficiency in ETABS, SAP, and RAM with strong knowledge of building codes and standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and business development skills.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or related field; and twelve (12) years of industry experience in structural analysis and design of mid to high-rise buildings; or Master’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or related field; and ten (10) years of industry experience in structural analysis and design of mid to high-rise buildings.
  • Minimum 9 years of experience in performing and supervising the design and analysis of mid to high rise buildings.
  • Minimum 9 years of experience utilizing software packages such as ETABS, RAM, RISA, Rhino, PCA and SAFE.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Project Management experience in leading the preparation of construction document plan drawings, plans, schedules, details, and specifications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team leadership ability and excellent communication skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of local and national building codes and design practices.
  • Experience with concrete, structural steel, masonry, wood, and light gauge structures.
  • Knowledge of standard construction practices and the ability to work with contractors to address construction issues.
  • Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Structural Engineer (SE) license.
