The Role We have an opportunity for a Structural Engineer Intern for our Protective Design & Security Practice. The Structural Engineer Intern will primarily focus on blast analysis and design work and will also likely be exposed to several different aspects of protective design & security such as progressive collapse, site perimeter security, and operational security. This is a full-time Summer 2026 internship.

Requirements

  • All candidates must be able to obtain a security clearance.
  • Undergraduate or graduate student with a concentration in structural engineering.
  • Excellent academic record.

Responsibilities

  • With oversight and training from project managers, perform blast load and response calculations for structural and building enclosure systems.
  • Develop calculation packages as well as written narratives to summarize work completed.
  • Develop structural and building enclosure details and drawings.
