About The Position

Phantom Works Proprietary Structural Design Engineer (Experienced/Senior) Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Phantom Works Division is hiring Experienced and Senior Structural Design Engineers for an advanced aircraft development program located in Berkeley, MO. Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
• 5+ years of work related engineering experience with a Bachelor’s or 3+ years of work related engineering experience with a Master’s or work related engineering experience with a PhD (Level 3)
• 9+ years of working experience with a Bachelor’s OR 7+ years with a Masters OR 4+ years with a PhD (Level 4)
• Experience with 3D solid modeling software Unigraphics
• This position requires an active U.S Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
• This position requires a Top Secret/SCI Clearance post start.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
• This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design
• Develop, maintain and modify structural and interior payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle
• Perform tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications
• Manage supplier development, test and production activities and coordinates with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals
• Support investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements
