Stroke Registrar – Part-Time, Days Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Southwest: 6100 Harris Parkway Fort Worth, TX 76132 Work hours: Part-Time, Day Shift Schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 3 Days a Week Here’s What You Need: Education: · H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Required · Associate’s Degree in Health Information or health related field Preferred Experience: · 1 Year of experience with chart auditing, quality improvement and data entry Required · 1 Year of medical record experience Preferred Skills Positive interpersonal skills, human relations and oral/written communication skills, organizational skills and attention to details, and ability to function in a fast paced environment. Must demonstrate proficiency with computers and understanding of medical terminology. Ability to enter large amounts of data into stroke registry in an efficient and reliable manner, while working with a multidisciplinary team. Preferred experienced with Premier and Joint Commission databases. What You Will Do Data Entry/Administrative: · Completes daily analysis of medical records for this patient population and determines eligibility for registry reporting · Performs queries for reports from applicable databases. Analyzes data to fulfill administrative and medical staff requests. · Validates data accuracy within Premier and comparative quarterly report from The Joint Commission. · Works with entity Outcomes department as needed to meet develop and implement appropriate data reporting mechanisms. · Relieves Stroke Administration team of daily operational issues by responding to mail or telephone inquiries or seeking the appropriate personnel for resolution. · Builds relationships with vendors, customers or other internal departments in order to complete projects or obtain services. · Performs simple research. · Coordinates agenda topics and presentations in conjunction with meeting planner. Quality: · Assists in meeting departmental KPI targets related to: Patient Outcomes Customer Satisfaction Financial Performance Employee Organization/Effectiveness Community Health · Collects patient care data, identifies and reports significant findings to Stroke Coordinator and Executive leader. · Monitors stroke patient records for quality improvement indicators. · Attends quality improvement meetings and stroke practice/review meetings. · Communicates current regulatory requirements and monitors compliance Departmental Communication: · Assumes responsibility for and/or participates in departmental and hospital projects and committees. · Evidence of time management skills. · Collaborates with all customer groups (staff, physicians, patients, family, external customers) to determine customer expectations. Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Required
  • 1 Year of experience with chart auditing, quality improvement and data entry Required
  • Positive interpersonal skills, human relations and oral/written communication skills, organizational skills and attention to details, and ability to function in a fast paced environment.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency with computers and understanding of medical terminology.
