According to established criteria, reviews patient medical records to abstract and assess data. Identifies and assesses quality and patient care performance through clinical analysis in a confidential manner. Plans, organizes and directs clinical, performance improvement, research, education and recertification of the Medical Center's Stroke Program. Ensures compliance with all appropriate safety and infection control standards. Coordinates quality assessment and continuous quality improvement activities. Performs all job duties and responsibilities in a courteous and customer-focused manner according to the Hurley Family Standards of Behavior and Management Code of Conduct.Works under the Senior Administrator - Nursing or designee who reviews work performance primarily through conferences and oral and written reports. Works under the supervision of the departmental director or designee who may review and inspect work for effectiveness and conformance to established standards and procedures. May exercise complete supervision over employees in assigned areas and units. Will have responsibility for Purchasing Agents and MMIS staff and functions required of that area of responsibility. May also be required, at the discretion of the Director, to act as lead to contracting and purchasing activities should the Director be unavailable.
