About The Position

The Streaming Programming Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily execution of content scheduling and stream operations across digital platforms. This role ensures accurate playlist scheduling, real-time monitoring of program streams, and seamless coordination across departments to deliver a high-quality viewer experience. The supervisor plays a key role in supporting breaking news coverage, maintaining program data integrity, and contributing to the development and execution of programming and promotional strategies.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in broadcast, streaming, or digital programming operations.
  • Strong understanding of scheduling systems, media asset management, and streaming workflows.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, especially in live or time-sensitive situations.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting live events or breaking news operations is highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Help oversee total functionality for streaming channels.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve on-air issues in a timely manner.
  • Support live events and breaking news by rapidly updating and deploying content.
  • Maintain and manage all programming metadata and scheduling data with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ensure consistency across systems and platforms.
  • Coordinate deliverables across multiple departments including programming, marketing, production, and technical operations.
  • Track and confirm that all required assets (video, graphics, metadata, etc.) are delivered and available on schedule.
  • Assist in implementing scheduling strategies that optimize audience engagement and platform performance.
  • Participate in evaluating and improving operational workflows and systems.
  • Support the implementation of new tools, technologies, and best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Develop fluency in using the scheduling software and executing workflows for a flawless on-air experience.
  • Be available on call after hours and weekends as necessary to revise playlist, trigger breaking news or support News team needs.
  • Produce work orders for promotional materials that communicate strategy, objectives and deadlines.
  • Execute and track promotional and advertising campaigns for internal and external clients and generate reports (AS-RUNS).
  • Partner with News Production, Art Department, Ad Sales, Marketing, Business Affairs and Content Management.
  • Perform ad-hoc assignments as needed
