About The Position

St. Francis of Assisi School is seeking a dynamic and mission‑driven STREAM Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. This educator will lead instruction that integrates Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics in meaningful, hands‑on, and engaging ways. The ideal candidate is passionate about inspiring curiosity, guiding students through problem‑solving challenges, and fostering collaboration across grade levels. This role plays a key part in advancing the school’s commitment to academic excellence and Catholic identity.

Requirements

  • A practicing Catholic committed to the mission and teachings of the Church.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, STEM fields, or a related discipline.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
  • Creativity, enthusiasm, and a passion for hands‑on, inquiry‑based learning.
  • Ability to inspire students and support a culture of innovation and academic excellence.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience teaching STREAM, STEM, or project‑based learning (preferred).
  • Experience in managing various technology tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver engaging STREAM lessons that promote inquiry, creativity, and hands‑on exploration across the PK - 8th curriculum.
  • Integrate Catholic teachings and values into classroom activities and project‑based learning.
  • Lead St. Francis’ participation in the Project Lead the Way (Launch and Gateway) program.
  • Teach Computer Science and AI in multiple grade levels
  • Lead a STEM elective(s).
  • Assist with the school administration/ staff onboarding software/programs, SIS, Google Workspace Admin Console, Apple School Manager, and Windows.
  • Support technology & troubleshooting requests from teachers and staff and students
  • Foster a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, teamwork, resilience, and innovation.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to support cross‑curricular STREAM initiatives.
  • Guide students through engineering design processes, technology applications, and scientific investigations.
  • Utilize age‑appropriate tools, materials, and technologies to enhance learning experiences.
  • Assess student understanding and adjust instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
  • Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and school community events.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging learning environment.
