About The Position

The Strategy & Transformation Manager plays a critical role in helping Choice Hotels execute on its long-term growth objectives by driving clarity, alignment, and disciplined execution across enterprise initiatives. This role partners closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to define strategic priorities, analyze business challenges, and support the successful delivery of transformational programs. The Manager combines analytical rigor with strong organizational savvy to simplify complex problems and enable effective decision-making. As part of a nimble, high-performing team, this position influences enterprise strategy execution without direct reports, working across departments to ensure measurable, sustainable progress.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in consulting, strategic planning, corporate strategy, business analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects or workstreams required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with project management tools.
  • Ability to conduct financial and business analysis with a high degree of precision.
  • Strategic thinker: Able to balance detailed analytical work with big-picture understanding; skilled at navigating complex or ambiguous business questions.
  • Project management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain momentum, and drive results in cross-functional environments.
  • Organizational savvy: Capable of building alignment, influencing without authority, and adapting communication to diverse audiences.
  • Executive communication: Comfortable developing materials for and presenting insights to senior leaders.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in a related field preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to process design, value mapping, operational modeling, or data analytics preferred.
  • Experience with LLMs (especially Copilot and ChatGPT) is advantageous.
  • Experience with data analytics tools or platforms is advantageous.
  • Continuous improvement mindset: Formal Six Sigma or similar training is a plus.
  • Continuous improvement, change management or project management certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, Prosci, PMP) beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Strategy Execution & Reporting Support scoping, definition, and launch of enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.
  • Manage project workstreams, analyze processes, and develop data-driven insights to advance initiative objectives.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and roadblocks; develop materials and recommendations to aid leadership decision-making.
  • Perform structured analytical problem-solving to support initiative teams and maintain momentum.
  • Establish and track success metrics, indicators, and milestone targets to measure progress and outcomes.
  • Strategy Communication, Alignment & Planning Develop and apply approaches to strengthen alignment around enterprise strategy, partnering across finance, HR, IT, and subject matter experts.
  • Help prioritize transformation initiatives and define objective, meaningful measures of success tied to long-term strategic goals.
  • Synthesize data and insights to articulate the story behind performance and influence organizational focus.
