The Strategy Manager is responsible for driving sustainable growth and profitability through data-driven pricing and margin optimization. This role focuses on enforcing pricing discipline, improving portfolio-wide margins, and ensuring offerings remain competitive and financially sound. Depending on the departmental makeup, this role may supervise team members by directing their work in a way that ensures the success of the business and actively supports their professional development, or may occasionally direct the work of a team member on a project or temporary basis but does not directly supervise team members.

Requirements

  • Ability to develop and implement pricing strategies that optimize margins and enhance profitability, demonstrating strong financial acumen.
  • Experience conducting market analysis to identify margin gaps and opportunities for improved product positioning.
  • Strong project management skills to oversee strategic initiatives and ensure successful execution.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including complex formulas, data analysis, and financial modeling (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, scenario modeling).
  • Experience building repeatable, scalable analysis is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to maintain high accuracy in analysis and data entry; verify inputs; flag gaps/inconsistencies; document clean, reproducible analysis that clearly displays impact.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across departments to align product offerings with market demands and organizational strategy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with leadership and cross-functional teams, ensuring transparency and alignment on strategic initiatives.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities, recommend innovative solutions, and contribute to strategic growth initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related field and/or 5+ years' experience acting as a change leader.
  • Prior experience and a track record of partnering across organizational departments.
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and standing at a desk and while working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Ability to problem solve and exercise sound judgment and decision-making.
  • Use of logical reasoning skills.
  • Ability to adapt to ongoing change.
  • Excellent organizational skills and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Regular interaction with other team members, including spontaneous and planned video meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal teams to conduct regular market analysis to identify margin gaps and opportunities for improved product positioning.
  • Participate in product expansion projects to ensure new products or modifications are aligned with profitability goals.
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies that optimize margins and enhance profitability.
  • Perform margin reviews on products, clients, prospects, or projects to maximize profitability while remaining competitive as assigned.
  • Align pricing strategy with market trends and organizational financial goals.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends and collaborate with the Sales team to adjust pricing structures and ensure margins are met.
  • Review GTM performance trends to surface gaps in execution, pricing adherence, market focus, and conversion efficiency, and provide clear, actionable insights to GTM leadership.
  • Manage Deal Desk requests to support all departments, ensuring margin accountability through pricing analysis, deal structuring, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Conduct quarterly meetings with department leaders to assess KPI progress, identify improvement areas, and adjust strategies.
  • Provide regular updates to executive leadership on the progress of strategic initiatives, KPIs, and key metrics.
  • Ensure transparency and open communication with all departments regarding strategic goals, initiatives, and performance outcomes.
  • Establish a feedback loop with the executive leadership team to continuously gather input, address concerns, and refine strategies as needed.
  • Implement continuous improvement processes across departments to regularly evaluate and optimize strategies and operations.
  • Stay informed of current policies and procedures.
  • Continued professional development through ongoing training and education.
