The Strategy team’s mission is to drive innovation, maximize efficiency, and success across FreeWheel. By pursuing and delivering strategic and operational excellence, we ensure FreeWheel will adapt, thrive, and lead in an ever-evolving landscape. Role Description FreeWheel is seeking a Strategy Intern to support strategic planning, research, and analytical projects. This role provides exposure to the ad‑tech industry, opportunities to collaborate across departments, and the chance to contribute to initiatives that shape the future of FreeWheel. As an intern, you will gain experience in: Researching emerging technologies and trends relevant to the ad‑tech ecosystem Conducting market and competitive analysis Using data to uncover insights that inform strategic decision‑making Supporting cross‑functional projects across Product, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and more. Sample Projects Interns may work on projects such as: Exploring new innovations (e.g., AI‑driven solutions) Analyzing marketplace trends to identify new opportunities Assessing competitive dynamics and key industry shifts You’ll have the opportunity to own work from start to finish and present insights to Strategy team members and leaders.

Requirements

  • An undergraduate student currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from a United States-based college or university, as a Rising Junior or Rising Senior only (must have a graduation date between December 2026 – May 2028)
  • Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship (meaning, student must be returning to school for Fall 2026 semester before graduating)
  • Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program starting June 1, 2026, through August 14, 2026
  • Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs

Responsibilities

  • Conduct basic market research and support competitive analysis
