About The Position

Critical Mass is seeking an experienced Strategy Director to join the New York team, working on a major financial services account. As Digital Strategy Director, you provide strategic leadership and guidance to your team in finding purpose-driven, inspired, innovative digital work through insights. You are the senior- most strategy representative on one of our largest accounts, with the overall quality of strategy work on all projects and accounts on your shoulders—but you’ve got that covered. Planning complex and challenging projects helps you gain an intimate understanding of the client’s business, their competitors, and key industry trends. And you can easily communicate these findings to multidisciplinary teams, from Creative to Technology. You are the champion for digital strategy across a large and complex Interagency Team (IAT), partnering closely with all disciplines to advocate for best-in-class, innovative digital performance creative. Requirements

  • Extensive related experience in planning and executing multi-channel digital marketing and advertising campaigns
  • Experience working on extensive digital UX projects.
  • Deep experience in developing proposals and presentations for clients.
  • Experience working with Financial services clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex subject matter verbally and written.
  • Demonstrated experience in the marketing research and sciences areas.
  • Teamwork and collaboration-oriented mindset.
  • Detail and results oriented working style.
  • Flexibility and the ability to multi-task.
  • Strong commitment to learning.

Responsibilities

  • Manage overall quality of strategy work across lines of business for one of our largest accounts
  • Collaborate with the Program Director and the Managing Director to ensure that:
  • The team has a suitable number of planners and strategists with appropriate skills of
  • The team understands the role of the strategists on the team and deploys their skills appropriately
  • Staff are engaged in the right work at the right time
  • Value of strategy staff is demonstrated to client
  • Ensure core processes and deliverables are effective in delivering strategic guidance.
  • Work with our clients to identify business problems and challenges.
  • Become an expert on the client’s business sector
  • Partner closely with Marketing Science teams to articulate the impact of performance
  • marketing—translating observational data into creative and media optimization.
  • Synthesize insights into clear, compelling, inspiring creative briefs.
  • Communicate the value of optimization program to client and project teams.
