The Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) protects and promotes the safety and well-being of children and families through child welfare and juvenile justice services and community supports. ACS manages community-based supports and foster care services and provides subsidized childcare vouchers. ACS child protection staff respond to allegations of child maltreatment. In juvenile justice, ACS oversees detention, placement, and programs for youth in the community. ACS' Family Services Division (FSD) is a beacon of support to families by connecting them to community-based resources. The division works to provide resources that maintain the safety and well-being of families by promoting child and parent well-being, strengthening the ability of parents and guardians to keep their children safe and reducing the risk of repeat maltreatment, neglect, and placements/re-placements into foster care. FSD provides guidance and resources to our contracted providers that strengthen their ability to assess and address the service needs of families we serve. Within FSD, the Program Design & Implementation (PDI) team is committed to strengthening prevention services for children, families, and communities through collaborative program management and strategic initiatives that leverage innovation, data and research, and human-centered design. FSD is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Program Strategy & Data Undergraduate Intern to join our team. As a Program Strategy & Data Undergraduate Intern, you will support our PDI team in day-to-day operations and contribute to long-term projects aimed at strengthening service delivery and quality. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable technical experience with tools and information-sharing platforms such as Airtable and Tableau. Additionally, as a member of the 2026, ACS Summer Internship Program cohort, you will participate in an enrichment program designed to fully engage students into the ACS and NYC government experience. Internship programming includes professional development workshops, lunch and learns, speaker events, NYC government tours, and networking opportunities.
