About The Position

The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) program is an international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function. The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria.

A VIE for a Strategy and Competitive intelligence project manager role has arisen within Airbus Americas in Washington, D.C. You will join the Strategy, Transformation and Sustainability department.

This VIE will start in September 2026 and will have a duration of 18 months.

To meet the growing demand for Airbus Americas Strategy, the strategy team is seeking an open minded, curious, dynamic and organized project manager to support on strategy projects and contribute to the competitive intelligence and regulatory monitoring and analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree
• Experience in strategy and in competitive intelligence
• Excellent analytical skills and problem solving skills
• Ability to take initiatives and be autonomous
• Working knowledge of Google Suite
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Good pre-existing knowledge of Airbus (internal process, organization) at the Corporate is preferred
• Strong organizational skills, ability to work on different topics in parallel.
• Upper-intermediate English level required (Negotiation)

Responsibilities

• Be accountable for some competitive intelligence projects, mainly focused on helicopters and defense, as well as the energy domain and key ressources (including critical minerals)
• Support certain strategy projects (presentations, coordination)
• Coordination within the Strategy team: ensure a smooth communication and sharing of different topics between the Strategy and Intell team and the Sustainability team.
