The business development associate supports the new business project manager in coordination and management of all new business workstreams and pitch activity. This role is critical for ensuring all pitch deliverables are met in a timely and effective manner, preparing relevant research and insights, and coordinating the pitch process across multiple teams and stakeholders. This role oversees maintenance of key corporate info including client lists, billings, etc. They also support the Director of New Business Content, playing a key role in development of RFI submissions and saving & management of commonly used new business materials, including written responses, commonly used slides and case studies. They will work closely with senior leadership on the new business team and across the organization (and other COEs).

Requirements

  • Must have exceptional organizational skills and thrive on managing multiple projects
  • Able to multitask while exhibiting great attention to detail
  • Must have strong intrapersonal skills, and be confident in managing talent of diverse seniority to ensure deadlines are met
  • Ability to write business briefs, case studies and general business correspondence.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure, ‘remain calm amidst chaos’
  • Strong people skills
  • Must be deadline-oriented
  • 1-2 years of experience in media
  • MS Office, spreadsheets, Internet software, E-mail/Teams
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Interest in marketing, advertising and/or media
  • Flexibility with work hours – late nights and/or weekends may be necessary

Responsibilities

  • Play key role in RFI development: provide initial input from database of best answers
  • Manage database of new business materials: RFP answers, corporate data, client lists, leadership bios, case studies
  • Leverage agency tools and internet to develop brand insights and competitive research
  • Assist with pitch content development: pulling in frequently used slides and case studies from new business drive
  • Prepare new business activity reports (status) for senior management
  • Work with design team to facilitate timely design of all pitch content
  • Help prepare updates for key trade publications on Horizon’s corporate data (new business wins, billings, etc . )
  • Support a senior lead in identifying and researching potential clients, creating custom outreach conten t
