Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5-7 years' experience in a hospital or multi-hospital system supply chain management, with a strong background in a clinical setting.
  • 1 year of experience in management.
  • Significant additional experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
  • (DRIVERS) DRIVERS LICENSE Texas

Nice To Haves

  • LVN or RN educational background.
  • Strong financial, Value Analysis, contracting and buyer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and support standardization opportunities.
  • Perform analyses and manage product/material conversions.
  • Perform data analyses and model data while ensuring clinical needs are met.
  • Participate in product standardization process, involving department mangers to determine their needs.
  • Plan, coordinate and conduct product trails within the hospital in support of product conversion.
  • Assist University Hospital staff members with product evaluations.
  • Assist Purchasing Manager with manufacture and GPO sales representatives to assess emerging opportunities; as well as contract start-up functions involving appropriate department managers.
  • Works with Customers/Physicians to develop VA Fors for the monthly VASC Meeting.
  • Routinely meets with customers and reviews/analyzes items purchased.
  • Understand customers operations and procurement needs and develops solutions
  • Chair the Clinical Value Analysis Committee and participate on the Value Analysis Steering Committee.
  • Work collaboratively within Materials Management team, Purchasing Services, Patient Supply and, Distribution Services.
  • Other Duties as assigned.
