The Talent Partner III is a senior-level strategic advisor to LMI executives, operating with a high degree of autonomy and accountability. This role shapes enterprise and Investment Business Unit level talent strategies, anticipates future capability needs, and drives sustained organizational performance through deep business partnership. The Talent Partner III is expected to operate at executive altitude, proactively identifying talent risks and opportunities, influencing outcomes across multiple business functions, and setting the standard for consultative excellence within the Talent organization and for the evolving capability needs across investment, finance, and operations asset management teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • 12+ years of progressive Human Resources or Talent Consulting experience
  • Proven ability to operate at executive level and influence enterprise outcomes
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, judgment, and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex change and deliver sustainable talent solutions

  • Experience supporting asset management strongly preferred or similarly complex professional environments with a desire to apply talent expertise within investment management

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic partner to executive Investment Business Unit (IBU) leadership teams, advising on complex talent and organizational decisions that impact long-term business performance.
  • Co-create and lead enterprise or IBU-wide talent strategies aligned to LMI’s growth, investment diversification, and operating priorities.
  • Bring external market perspective, competitive intelligence, industry best practices and forward-looking insights to inform leadership decisions.
  • Influence critical business decisions by integrating talent, organizational, and people implications into strategy discussions.
  • Build deep, trusted relationships with senior leaders, demonstrating credibility equivalent to senior Talent Business Partners.
  • Monitor organizational health and key talent metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Proactively recommend interventions to support business development, leadership effectiveness, and workforce sustainability.
  • Support leaders within Investment Business Units, including navigating complex compensation, promotion, and talent structures specific to the investment management environment.
  • Lead the execution of complex, multi-business talent initiatives with clear success metrics and accountability.
  • Ensure sustainability of solutions by embedding ownership within the business and minimizing long-term dependency on Talent.
  • Partner with leaders through core annual talent processes, including compensation and promotion cycles, ensuring rigor, consistency, and alignment across Investment Business Units.
  • Serve as Program Manager for the Liberty Mutual Investments Women in Investing program, ensuring disciplined execution, measurable outcomes, and alignment to enterprise talent priorities.
  • Apply a “build once, use many” mindset to solve recurring talent challenges across multiple business functions.
  • Ensure alignment of the Women in Investing program to LMI talent strategies, leadership development priorities, and enterprise inclusion objectives.
  • Build strong relationships with Talent Business Partners and peers to deliver consistent, high-quality consulting services.
  • Partner closely with COEs such as Talent Acquisition, Compensation and the LMI Institute to align enterprise solutions with business-specific needs without duplicating effort.
  • Provide targeted coaching and just-in-time feedback to senior leaders.
  • Model and reinforce consultative excellence within the Talent organization.
