Strategic Sourcing Specialist

Westinghouse Electric Company, LLCNewland, NC
2d$49 - $54

About The Position

Are you interested in being part of an innovative team that supports Westinghouse's mission to provide clean energy solutions? At WECTEC Staffing Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Westinghouse Electric Company LLC, we recognize that our employees are our most valuable asset and we seek to identify, attract and recruit the most qualified talent while recognizing and encouraging the value of diversity in the global workplace.  About the role: We are looking for an experienced Strategic Sourcing Specialist to support large‑scale capital and onsite services projects across a nuclear fleet. You will supplement an existing sourcing team and perform the same end‑to-end strategic sourcing functions as established team members, rather than supporting a single defined project. You will manage the full sourcing lifecycle—from intake and contract development through negotiations, execution, and post‑award supplier management—supporting complex, regulated nuclear projects. We offer broad exposure to capital project sourcing, services procurement, and supplier relationship management within a high‑impact nuclear environment.

Requirements

  • Experience in strategic sourcing, purchasing, or procurement (services and capital projects)
  • Background in contract negotiation and supplier management
  • Comfortable working with large, complex scopes and multiple partners
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word (advanced formatting), Excel, and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

  • Review and validate sourcing requests from team members across the nuclear fleet
  • Ensure all required intake details, compliance elements, and approvals are in place
  • Conduct supplier due diligence and risk assessments
  • Lead contract negotiations covering pricing, commercial terms, and performance requirements
  • Implement sourcing events such as RFPs, RFQs, and competitive bids when applicable
  • Prepare, issue, and manage purchase orders
  • Support invoice discrepancy resolution and post‑award issue management
  • Monitor supplier performance and develop recovery or improvement plans
  • Maintain accurate nuclear sourcing documentation and contract records (life‑of‑plant retention)
  • Collaborate with plant team members, internal partners, and external suppliers

Benefits

  • Comprehensive Health and Income Protection Benefits
  • 401(k) Savings Plan
  • Paid Vacations for Qualifying Positions
