The Strategic Sourcing & Procurement team is a key partner in this mission, unlocking speed, value, and resilience across Box's technology and go-to-market ecosystem. This role is for a Strategic Sourcing Manager to own high-impact categories in Indirect, with a focus on SaaS and technology that power IT, Marketing, GTM, and HR. In this position, you will lead negotiations, run competitive sourcing events, and partner closely with Legal, Security, and business leaders to deliver best-in-class contracts that reduce risk and total cost of ownership.

Requirements

  • 4+ years in Strategic Sourcing/Procurement with strong indirect and technology/SaaS experience.
  • Proven negotiator with 4+ years reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts (NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, licenses) and partnering with Legal/Security.
  • Advanced Excel/Sheets skills (e.g., pivot tables, lookup functions, cost modeling) and clear data storytelling.
  • Experience with Google or Microsoft Suite.
  • Hands-on with procurement tools.
  • Customer-service mindset with strong stakeholder management.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaborating across teams.
  • Organized multi-tasker who prioritizes in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong business judgment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance, Procurement, or related field.
  • Expected to work from their assigned office a minimum of 3 days per week.

Nice To Haves

  • Multi-category exposure (in Strategic Sourcing/Procurement).
  • Experience with Coupa and/or Zip.
  • Familiarity with Box and AI-enabled workflows.
  • Master’s/APICS.

Responsibilities

  • Lead contract negotiations and vendor management for SaaS and tech categories, securing favorable commercial terms, SLAs, and exit protections.
  • Run end-to-end RFX processes, supplier evaluations, and competitive bids; recommend supplier selections grounded in data.
  • Build cost models and present insights that drive savings, efficiency, and outcome-based decisions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, orders, and software licensing agreements in partnership with Legal, Compliance, and Security.
  • Accelerate vendor onboarding while ensuring policy, privacy, and security compliance.
  • Partner with IT, Marketing, GTM/Sales, and HR to align category strategies to business goals and timelines.
  • Contribute to tool and process improvements, including our transition to Zip and broader intake-to-procure optimization.
  • Track and report on market trends, savings, cycle times, and risk reduction.
