Internship Overview Powell’s 10-week paid internship program offers college students hands-on experience, professional training, and the opportunity to make an impact through a meaningful project aligned with your field of study. As a Strategic Sourcing Intern, you’ll focus on optimization of cost saving analysis, risk mitigation and gain valuable skills in a dynamic, collaborative environment. Project Focus Intern Project: Strategic Sourcing Approved Supplier List and Reporting Metrics Database Cost Savings Project analysis – Wire and Cable Expected Deliverables: Strategic Sourcing Approved Supplier List and Reporting Metrics Database Created Cost Savings Analysis to present to Powell – all Divisions for Wire and Cable How does this project benefit Powell or your functional area? The strategic sourcing internship will support cost savings analysis and improve supplier processes/risk reduction. These projects will help strengthen sourcing decisions and identify waste/cost targets/variables to reduce Powell risk and increase effectiveness. Desired Major: Supply Chain, Finance, Industrial Distribution What You’ll Gain Hands-On Experience: Work on real-world engineering challenges with cutting-edge technology. Who We’re Looking For We seek motivated, curious, and driven students with the following qualifications: Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Industrial Distribution, or a related field from an accredited institution. Rising Junior or Senior continuing studies in Fall 2027. Minimum 3.0 GPA and strong academic standing. Team player with strong communication, multitasking, and interpersonal skills. Self-starter with a dependable, can-do attitude. Bonus Skills: Experience with ERP systems, data analysis and dashboard review. Program Benefits Competitive pay for a 10-week summer internship. Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Industrial Distribution, or a related field from an accredited institution.
