About The Position

The Strategic Sourcing Analyst is a key member of Belk’s Strategic Sourcing team which provides support for indirect purchases. The Sourcing team manages more than 500 sourcing and contracting activities each year. This individual should possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills as well as good attention to detail. The Analyst partners with external vendors, internal business partners, Belk’s legal, and corporate finance on a daily basis. Independently manages sourcing and contracting activities for lower risk products/services (typically up to approximately $100,000-$200,000), including: Researching new vendor sources Developing and scoring RFI/RFPs Preparing for vendor and stakeholder meetings and negotiations Financial analysis of bids and contracts Contract negotiation and administration (e.g. contract quality assurance, processing statements of work, contract change requests, and coordination with legal, internal stakeholders, and vendors) Assists with supply market research Supports Sourcing team with reporting, e-sourcing tool administration, and contract negotiations, as needed Develops strong working relationships with team members and business partners to achieve desired outcomes for issues and objectives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1-3 years of work experience
  • Experience collaborating across an organization and building strong relationships
  • Demonstrated attention to detail while working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent critical thinking skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and follow through
