About The Position

Strategic Sourcing Analyst – Specialty Manufacturing about the position… The Strategic Sourcing Analyst will support the purchasing of goods and services to support the manufacturing of custom electrical distribution equipment. This will include the purchase of, but not limited to equipment, tooling, commodities, and 3rd party services. Daily activities will include communication with manufacturing scheduler/planner, creating bid events, e-sourcing, maintaining bid documentation, administrative duties, creating purchase orders, obtaining supplier quotes, and updating part & item databases. The Strategic Sourcing Analyst will report directly to our Program Manager. This position is located at our manufacturing and logistics facility in Palmetto, FL. position details/responsibilities… Work with the manufacturing team, project management, and suppliers to support material buyouts. Develop and maintain strong relationship with manufacturing operations so bids and purchase orders are executed in a timely manner. Learn the procurement categories and provide guidance to all employees to adhere to our best practices and utilizing preferred suppliers. Review quotes for accuracy and work with suppliers to negotiate best pricing. Receive hands-on training from assigned mentor regarding procurement, category management and supplier negotiations. Support the bid process by creating e-sourcing events, updating bid templates and generating summary reports. Recommend best practices and processes for the department in order to improve efficiency. Compile spend and bid data in excel and database tools for reporting. Continually help to improve and innovate on all processes, reporting, data collection, or best practices. Support and maintain manufacturing ERP development and best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Technical field with 5+ years’ experience.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills with willingness to negotiate with suppliers.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Outlook, and Intermediate to advanced skill level in Excel with data mining ability.
  • Oracle, SAP, Sales Force, or similar ERP experience preferred
  • Ability to multitask in a high volume, fast-paced work environment with firm deadlines.
  • Working knowledge within the manufacturing industry a plus.
