Inside the Role Daimler Truck North America is seeking an experienced and talented Strategic Sourcing Analyst to join our Global Indirect Procurement (GIP) team in either Ft. Mill, South Carolina, Detroit, Michigan or Portland, Oregon. This Strategic Sourcing Analyst will work with their internal business partner to identify indirect sourcing needs, specification definition, supplier selection, supplier qualification, and negotiating to ensure best solutions for DTNA. In addition, this position will have supervisory and mentoring responsibilities within the GIP group. Contract Implementation: Ensure contracts with suppliers uphold Daimler Truck's high standards of quality as well as unquestionable social integrity. Performance Review: Conduct regular supplier performance and strategy reviews, setting and following up on improvement expectations. Supplier Innovation: Closely work with stakeholders to identify and introduce new supplier technologies and advancements in materials, services, processes, equipment to build competitive advantage for the company by reducing cost, improving quality and/or shortening product development lead time.
