The Strategic Services Director – EHR/Epic is a delivery focused leader responsible for executing high impact strategic services engagements while partnering closely with the Managing Director to support the ongoing development of Evergreen’s strategic services practice. This role is primarily client -facing, with an expectation that approximately 80% of time is directly engaged in client delivery. The Director is placed on engagements and owns day-to-day delivery execution, bringing strong delivery leadership, subject matter expertise, and executive presence to complex healthcare IT and operational initiatives. The Strategic Services Director balances hands-on delivery with consultant mentorship, ensuring consistent quality, strong client outcomes, and continuous improvement across Evergreen’s strategic services offerings. WHAT YOU’LL OWN Client delivery excellence: Owning the successful execution of largescale, executive facing programs with accountability for delivery quality, outcomes, and client satisfaction Executive client partnership: Serving as a trusted advisor and primary escalation point for senior client stakeholders Sales and account expansion support: Partnering with sales and account leaders to support growth within existing accounts and close strategic work Consultant mentorship and quality: Coaching consultants and reinforcing consistent, high quality delivery standards across engagements Practice development contribution: Strengthening Evergreen’s methodologies, knowledge base, and strategic consultant bench through delivery driven insights and feedback for sales and strategic services leadership WHAT YOU’LL DO Delivery Excellence & Program Leadership Own day-to-day client delivery for assigned strategic services engagements, serving as the primary delivery lead and escalation point. Lead largescale, client-facing programs or initiatives across healthcare IT and operations. Maintain accountability for project scope, timeline, resources, and budget, ensuring delivery commitments are met. Provide subject matter expertise, guidance, and thought partnership to client leaders throughout the engagement. Identify and manage delivery risks, client concerns, and cross functional dependencies in partnership with the Managing Director and internal stakeholders. Ensure strong delivery closeout practices, including outcomes documentation, lessons learned, and client ready deliverables. Client Engagement & Growth Support Engage with client stakeholders as part of program delivery, bringing credibility, clarity, and delivery leadership to key discussions. Support Managing Directors and Client Partnership team members by participating in client conversations related to delivery outcomes, scope alignment, and future needs. Contribute to account expansion efforts by connecting delivery insights to emerging client priorities and opportunities. Support the sales cycle as a delivery and solution partner, including participation in: Client discovery and strategy discussions Proposal and RFP development Executive level presentations and solution walkthroughs Maintain professional relationships with client and vendor stakeholders to support continuity and long-term partnership, without primary ownership of the account. Consultant Leadership & Delivery Quality Mentor and coach consultants on strategic services engagements, reinforcing Evergreen’s delivery standards and expectations. Provide guidance and feedback to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across programs. Model strong client presence, executive communication, and delivery accountability. Practice Development & Insight Sharing This leader translates delivery insights into actionable feedback for both the strategic services and sales teams to support account expansion and sustained client growth. Partner with the Managing Director to contribute delivery-driven insights that inform the evolution of Evergreen’s strategic services practice. Translate client and delivery learnings into actionable feedback for the strategic services team. Share delivery insights with sales partners to support account expansion and growth conversations. Contribute to the refinement of Evergreen’s methodologies, playbooks, and delivery frameworks. Support onboarding and delivery standards by sharing best practices and lessons learned from the field. QUALIFICATIONS Required Qualifications In-depth EHR (Epic and other EHR platforms) experience, including implementation, optimization, and ongoing support. Demonstrated leadership in an application or implementation setting, including oversight of integrated third-party applications. Experience leading, or holding key accountability for, the overall program approach to system selection, implementation, and/or ongoing system support. 5+ years of healthcare, IT, or operational leadership experience. 10+ years of related healthcare, IT and operational experience. Proven experience in client engagement, account management, or a similar role. Strong background in project management, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within scope. Intermediate knowledge and experience using Microsoft 365 products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook, along with experience using applicable client enterprise systems (EHR, ERP, etc.) and other relevant software applications. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and diplomacy. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse groups of team members, managers, and vendors. Demonstrated commitment to put forth consistent effort and successfully complete assigned tasks quickly without sacrificing quality. High attention to detail, including strong time management, analytical, organizational, and active listening skills. Ability to contribute to a positive working environment.
