About The Position

The Strategic Planning Business Analyst provides day-to-day business analytics, insights, advice and recommendations to management team. This role works closely with management team to support the planning and execution of short-term and long-term plans, annual operating plan and budgeting, as well as strategic initiatives. This role is also responsible for generating and running reports from sales, marketing and research data, analyze data to come up with actionable insights and recommendations to enhance category and business performance, and preparing presentations for management review and decision making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Math, Statistics, Computer Science, or equivalent quantitative degree; Master's Preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, interpretation, and team/project management; The successful candidate is expected to be passionate and obsessed about data and analytics.
  • Strong quantitative skills including the ability to manipulate and analyze data sets of varying sizes, distill insights, and communicate key findings effectively.
  • Mastery of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, along with proficiency in SAP as well as data visualization tools such as Power BI
  • Proficient in SQL and Python for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis, with experience using Python data analysis libraries.
  • Substantial experience with ERP and CRM systems is crucial, and a basic understanding of Business Intelligence tools is considered advantageous.
  • The candidate should demonstrate proficiency in addressing problems involving few concrete variables within standardized situations.

Responsibilities

  • Provides day-to-day business analytics, insights, advice and recommendations to management team, to support the planning and execution of short-term and long-term plans, annual operating plan/ budgeting, as well as strategic initiatives.
  • Conduct complex data analysis and generate insightful reports to support Sales, marketing, product development, supply chain, and operations teams in their decision-making processes.
  • Lead the team to design, develop, and manage reports, dashboards, and reporting portals that integrate data from multiple sources. These tools will be essential for measuring progress, sales performance, and key performance indicators for various business initiatives.
  • Maintain and support external data (e.g. Nielsen data) and internal sales data. Use those data to create reports that enable managers to monitor sales and product performance effectively.
  • Manage the CRM system (SAP HANA C4C) for smooth operation and maintenance, providing reports for sales and product performance supervision by stakeholders. Also, conduct CRM training and supply materials to relevant parties to increase efficiency in customer support
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and collaborate with them to assist in the budgeting process. Monitor performance variances against budget regularly and provide actionable recommendations to address any deviations.
  • Oversee the end-to-end project life cycle, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to less experienced business analysts, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of strategic business initiatives to contribute to the overall success and expansion of the business.
  • Evaluate and recommend tools and methodologies to enhance business analysis processes.
  • Perform ad hoc duties and tasks as assigned, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the organization.
