About The Position

The Corporate Strategy & Planning team serves as TIAA’s internal strategy function, comprising three core capabilities: Strategic Consulting, Competitive Intelligence, and Strategic Planning. The Strategic Planning Team is seeking a motivated and analytical Strategic Planning Associate to join this dynamic group. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience
  • 3+ years of financial services or management consulting experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work with data and derive actionable insights
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities with strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
  • High degree of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail, with initiative and drive for results
  • Critical thinking, analytical reasoning, adaptability and willingness to learn
  • Financial services business acumen and strategic awareness

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of financial services or management consulting experience
  • University degree in Business Administration, Finance or Economics
  • Experience with data visualization tools is a plus
  • Working knowledge of utilizing AI tools and advanced prompt engineering to analyze complex data sets, extract actionable insights, and generate high-quality content

Responsibilities

  • Enable the prioritization of TIAA’s enterprise strategic initiatives
  • Support the Strategic Planning team and the Executive Committee in gathering and analyzing data to inform prioritization decisions that align with enterprise goals
  • Help develop planning scenarios and prepare recommendations for optimal allocation of financial, human, and technological resources
  • Support the creation of strategic plans, own maintenance of strategic plans and lead conduct roadmap analysis
  • Build relationships within the Strategic Planning & Execution communities and collaborate with cross-functional teams during planning
  • Lead in conducting complex analysis, including financial modeling (NPV, IRR, ROI)
  • Lead in preparing reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate strategic planning deliverables and artifacts
  • Lead in continuous improvement projects leveraging process improvement and technology enablement (including AI)
