About The Position

The Strategic Planning Manager will lead the annual strategic initiative process across the company. With an understanding of HCA’s business, this role will work with department leadership to gather and set department goals (MBOD’s), annual enterprise roadmap and provide ongoing performance updates. This role will also include responsibilities such as cross-functional strategy project management, research on new business opportunities, development of presentations for executive leaders, market surveillance, competitor benchmark, internal capability gap assessment, enterprise alignment, and strategic initiative development.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5-7 years’ progressive financial and/or analytical experience within an auto finance or financial institution
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Strong project management skills to lead cross functional projects/initiatives
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly communicate with leaders across all business units
  • Strong critical thinking skills to use business knowledge to drive business decisions and solve problems
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills to work effectively with all leaders throughout the organization and with our global business division
  • Ability to work independently and drive automation of routine tasks
  • Working knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, and reporting
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills: Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, and SharePoint

Nice To Haves

  • Automotive or financial services industry is preferred
  • MBA or comparable advanced degree in finance a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual strategic initiative establishment process. Work with HCA leaders to align Strategic Initiatives/MBODs for HCA, Divisions, and Departments. Consolidate, analyze, and validate business accomplishments for key initiatives and KPIs for Mid-Year and Year End evaluations.
  • Lead high impact, cross-functional Strategy projects: define project charter and approach, conduct assessments, and identify solutions with alignment with all stakeholders. Effectively engage all stakeholders in all project phases. Define short-, mid- and long-term strategic direction, roadmap for the business lines (Financing, Commercial, Insurance, etc.) and present to senior leadership for alignment and decision-making.
  • Work closely with IT Strategy and Planning to manage and monitor the company investment budget through all stages of a project/initiative lifecycle (i.e. approval, spending analysis, and benefit realization). Maintain and govern the enterprise strategic initiatives list.
  • Drive corporate meeting agendas to review strategic initiatives by coordinating with cross functional leaders to gather priority topics for senior leadership discussion and ensure accountability by following up on critical action items.
  • Collaborate with Hyundai Capital America’s regional headquarters and global business division to develop strategic content for global business reviews. Partner with cross functional leaders to develop content for monthly CEO business updates for global business division.
