As Strategic Operations Manager, you will oversee, support, and improve Manhattan based Career Center operations, data analysis, process creation and implementation.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to gather and synthesize information from a wide variety of people and sources
  • At least 5 years of professional experience, including 3 years of management or supervisory experience
  • Experience managing large scale projects and driving change initiatives, including efforts requiring as-is process mapping and the design and rollout of new processes and standard operating procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office with high proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Responsibilities

  • Works with the Upper Manhattan Workforce1 Center to strategically plan, develop and implement goals in a structured and collaborative way
  • Collaborates with Upper Manhattan Workforce1 Center Director to enhance and implement processes conducive to goal attainment
  • Supports Workforce1 Center Director with staff oversight, funder communication and center operating policies
  • Communicates directly with funder staff on all performance aspects of the Upper Manhattan Workforce1 Career Center
  • Oversees production of boroughwide KPI dashboards
  • Oversees the central data reporting function that monitors and communicates progress against the quarterly and annual goals
  • Oversees various funder-related initiatives including Construction Site Safety training and multiple grant initiatives
  • Analyzes reports and key performance indicators and provides suggestions for continuous improvement
  • Utilizes historical data to determine key measurables and activity outputs to ensure goals are reached
  • Facilitates training on program-specific operating guide and database
  • Conducts internal training on data management and sales and recruitment best practices
  • Performs detailed analysis on current policies and procedures
  • Creates, implements, and reviews policies to ensure center compliance
  • Conducts companywide internal ISO 9001 audits for the Upper Manhattan Workforce1 Career center
  • Reviews and maintains quality assurance for all program data entry through scheduled quality assurance checks
  • Leads center planning initiatives and provides recommendations on critical strategic decisions
  • Ensures that customer flow, service delivery and data management are efficient and effective
  • Conducts departmental audits on policies and procedures to streamline center’s operational effectiveness
  • Strategically facilitates business-driven job placements as an active member of the Center’s leadership team
  • Provides regular status reports and other requested data for the Directors of the Manhattan based Workforce1 Career Centers
  • Prepares, completes, and submits all data and reporting requirements to the Department of Small Business Services
