As the Strategic Marketing Specialist, Oncology at Decera Clinical Education, you will play a key supporting role within the Marketing/Engagement team, assisting with the execution and optimization of marketing initiatives that drive meaningful engagement among healthcare professionals (HCPs). In this role, you’ll gain hands-on experience in omni-channel marketing, data-driven decision-making, and healthcare professional engagement within medical education. Working closely with senior marketing and cross-functional teams, this position focuses on accurate execution, performance tracking, and continuous optimization of HCP engagement efforts. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, curious, and execution-focused, with a strong interest in learning how to deliver targeted, compliant, omni-channel marketing campaigns for highly specialized HCP audiences.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in marketing, digital marketing, or campaign execution (internships or entry-level roles acceptable), with exposure to email marketing, landing pages, or marketing automation
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, including basic data analysis, list management, filtering, and reporting; experience with list matching or database querying is a plus
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Analytical mindset with interest in data-driven marketing and learning how to translate metrics into actionable insights
  • Strong written communication skills, with attention to accuracy, clarity, and brand voice
  • Comfortable working collaboratively across teams while also taking ownership of assigned tasks and deliverables
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic, high-growth environment; able to accept feedback and continuously improve
  • Interest in healthcare, medical education, or pharmaceutical marketing; prior exposure to regulated environments is a plus but not required
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with marketing automation platforms (e.g., Marketo), Google Analytics, or similar tools is desirable; certifications are a plus but not required
  • Exposure to data visualization or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI) is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of marketing strategies designed to drive HCP awareness, registration, and engagement across live programs, virtual events, and insights-driven educational activities
  • Assist in identifying and recruiting targeted HCP audiences for in-person and virtual programs by leveraging internal and external databases
  • Help build and deploy integrated marketing campaigns using marketing automation platforms and omni-channel tactics (email, reminders, follow-ups, etc.)
  • Create, QA, and optimize email campaigns to improve open rates, click-through rates, registrations, and overall conversion performance
  • Maintain campaign trackers, timelines, and documentation to ensure deliverables are executed accurately and on schedule
  • Monitor campaign performance and assist with reporting on key metrics, identifying trends, and surfacing insights for optimization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (program management, content, compliance, vendors) to support the development and execution of HCP-facing marketing materials and campaign assets
  • Provide high-quality support before, during, and after campaigns by monitoring program performance and escalating issues as needed to meet contractual and engagement goals
  • Participate in internal status updates and contribute to progress reporting by sharing campaign results, learnings, and recommendations
  • Support vendor coordination as needed (email platforms, data providers, marketing tools), ensuring deliverables align with campaign needs and timelines
  • Continuously build knowledge of oncology marketing, HCP engagement best practices, and digital marketing tools through hands-on experience and feedback
