Join us as a Strategic Logistics Manager Your main responsibilities PRIMARY FUNCTION / POSITION OVERVIEW: Support the global corporate function to design target state (Processes, People, Systems) for both U.S. corporate (KG) and manufacturing plants (KWs) and the associated roadmap. Execute and support strategic plans as directed by the Global Supply Chain and the SVP, Supply Chain – US. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Act as a regional representative within the cross-functional “Global Logistics” project team, aiming at defining and implementing new ways of working, leading the communication, training, change elements, and metrics/KPI reporting to ensure successful delivery and embedding of the transformation. Build up and deploy capabilities to improve our end-to-end logistics flows to efficiently manage key performance Indicators (lead time, on-time delivery, assets/capacity utilization, etc.) Build a future integral network design that meets business requirements and enhances operational capabilities, cost efficiency, and carbon footprint. Strengthen customer care, order to delivery experience, leading distribution footprint optimization, (kitting/ distribution/ spare parts, guiding compliance of customs, import & export for all the supply chain plants. Focus on a resilient & efficient logistics network. Strengthen Schindler’s resilience by developing a compliance and risk management culture and preparing business continuity plans. Collaborate with IT and regional stakeholders to support the implementation and integration of logistics systems. Proactive onboarding/training of process leaders, executives, and other stakeholders to ensure broad organizational support and alignment. Effectively mentors and develops functional managers and employees through training, establishes objectives, and communicates policies and procedures while building employee morale, motivation, and commitment. Develops reviews and recommends methods of operational improvement involving equipment, systems, corrections, activities, and practices within the functional areas within their responsibility. Emphasizes safety in all aspects of the operation through direction and review. Ensures compliance with all national, state, and local laws and regulations, such as OSHA, EPA, and other agencies. Manage & Coordinate Coordinate and ensure proper execution of Supply Chain logistics processes and Standard Operating procedures (Transportation, Warehousing, Loading optimization, etc.) Liaise with key stakeholders in Procurement, Field Operations, Supply Chain, Controlling, and other functions to resolve logistics issues as they arise, as well as day-to-day challenges and opportunities to business plans. Lead the logistics community and contribute to the global logistics community to enable best practice sharing, facilitate training, and develop logistics culture in Schindler. Develop and implement continuous improvement methods that optimize logistics processes and tools to meet company objectives for quality, cost, responsiveness, and growth Maintain the effectiveness of the logistics processes, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring ongoing high-quality integrated business plans. Up to 35% travel required. Accountability: Execute and support strategic plans Deploy End-to-end logistics flow and KPI’s Execute SC SOP’s Develop & implement CI methods

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Knowledge of safety and legal requirements
  • Experience with digital innovations
  • Experience in end-to-end supply chain/ logistics
  • Knowledge of import/ export requirements
  • Experience with MS Word, Excel, Project Management, and Analytics software

Nice To Haves

  • Lean/ Six Sigma Master Black Belt
  • Experience in Supplier Development (preferred)
  • SAP Experience (preferred)
