About The Position

As a Strategic Finance leader at Fay, you'll serve as the financial partner and analytical engine behind some of the company’s most important decisions. You will own the financial models, planning infrastructure, and performance frameworks that help leadership understand where the business is today and where it should go next. You will work closely with the CFO and executive team to evaluate strategic opportunities, guide resource allocation, and bring clarity to complex financial questions. You combine deep financial modeling expertise with strong business judgment and executive-level communication skills. You are comfortable translating complex financial data into clear narratives that help leadership make faster and better decisions. This is a role for someone who thrives in high-growth environments and enjoys building from 0 to 1. You'll help establish the financial systems, planning processes, and strategic analyses that become the foundation for how Fay scales. If you're energized by high-impact work, partnering directly with leadership, and shaping company strategy through financial insight, this role is for you.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or strategic finance roles at high-growth companies
  • Advanced financial modeling skills with the ability to build and maintain integrated operating models and scenario analyses
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and the relationships between income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow dynamics
  • Proven ability to translate complex financial analysis into clear insights that inform executive decision-making
  • Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and structuring open-ended problems into clear analytical frameworks
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial insights to senior leadership and cross-functional partners
  • Track record of delivering high-quality work under pressure while managing multiple priorities

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working at or with high-growth technology or healthcare companies
  • Familiarity with financial planning tools, BI platforms, or SQL-based analysis environments
  • Experience supporting board or investor reporting processes

Responsibilities

  • Own the company’s financial planning and forecasting infrastructure by building and maintaining the operating model that supports budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
  • Partner directly with the CFO and leadership team to evaluate major strategic decisions including investments, partnerships, product initiatives, and growth opportunities
  • Translate financial data into executive-ready insights by distilling complex analysis into clear recommendations that guide company strategy
  • Develop the financial frameworks and KPIs that allow teams to measure performance, track progress against goals, and understand the drivers of the business
  • Build scalable financial models that evaluate unit economics, pricing strategies, and growth scenarios across the business
  • Create executive and investor-ready reporting that communicates company performance and financial outlook with clarity and precision
  • Partner closely with accounting and operations teams to improve the predictability, accuracy, and transparency of financial results
  • Surface insights proactively by identifying trends, risks, and opportunities before they are asked for and bringing a point of view on what matters most
  • Help establish the financial systems and processes that support the company as it grows, ensuring finance remains a strategic partner to the business
