About The Position

The Strategic Finance Intern will support high-impact analyses and decision-making while working closely with both the Strategic Finance team and Toast Operational teams. This role offers hands-on experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and business performance analysis, with exposure to how financial insights directly influence Toast strategy.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
• Comfort working with Excel/Google Sheets, financial models, and large data sets
• Deep exposure to, and comfort using, AI tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate insights clearly to both finance and non-finance partners
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Interest in SaaS, fintech, and data-driven decision-making

Nice To Haves

• Prior internship in finance, analytics, consulting, or strategy
• Experience with SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools
• Familiarity with SaaS metrics (ARR, LTV/CAC, churn, cohorts)

Responsibilities

• Support financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes
• Look for opportunities to leverage AI to improve processes and change the way work is being done
• Build and maintain financial models to evaluate growth initiatives and investment decisions
• Analyze KPIs and operating metrics and partner with cross-functional teams to assess new products, pricing changes, and operational initiatives
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses to inform leadership decisions
