About The Position

Orchestrates cross-functional execution by converting leadership priorities into sequenced workstreams with clear ownership, dependencies, and measurable outcomes. Establishes and maintains the operating rhythm that keeps work visible, decisions timely, and follow-through real, using decision logs and action tracking to drive closure. Surfaces blockers and risk early through structured, Socratic inquiry, and translates complex technical detail into executive-ready narratives and materials that enable leaders to act. Please note that candidate must be located in or willing to self-relocate to one of the following locations: Charlotte, Raleigh, Wilson or Greensboro, NC; Atlanta, GA or Richmond, VA. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and seven to ten years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of principles, practices, theories, and/or methodologies associated with the professional discipline (e.g., information technology, project management, finance, risk management, etc.).
  • Understands foundational concepts of other related professional disciplines. Experience managing small projects.
  • Ability to interpret and explain complex information to a range of audiences and build consensus among different stakeholders. Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience using Rally to run portfolio, program, or team-level work, including maintaining and continuously improving a Kanban board (intake, prioritization, workflow states, WIP limits, exit criteria, dependencies, and blockers).
  • Strong Agile delivery background with Kanban expertise and demonstrated ability to apply flow-based management (cycle/lead time, throughput, WIP) to improve predictability and transparency.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive adoption of disciplined work management practices.
  • Exceptional facilitation skills, able to use logical, Socratic questioning to clarify intent, flush out plans, surface risks, and resolve ambiguity in complex technical environments.
  • Executive communication and data storytelling skills, translating complex technical detail into concise, business-focused narratives, options, and trade-offs.
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills, including building executive-ready decks with strong visual design, clear storyline, and compelling call-to-action.
  • Comfort working across technology towers, risk/controls, and operations, with a bias for asking hard questions and following the thread to root cause.
  • Master's degree or MBA and ten years related experience.
  • Banking or financial services experience.

Responsibilities

  • Applies deep subject-matter or functional expertise and industry solution knowledge to research, analyze, design, and/or maintain data sources in information systems in support of projects, information needs, and changing requirements.
  • Performs analysis, validation and interpretation of reporting outputs. Recommends business actions to business leaders based on interpreted findings of the analyzed business reports.
  • Executes data and report validations to support ongoing quality assurance processes.
  • Develops business requirements for new reporting capabilities.
  • Accountable for on-time and budget delivery of the portfolio initiatives in collaboration with business and technology partners.
  • Applies in-depth knowledge within own professional discipline and a foundational understanding of concepts and principles of other related professional disciplines. Applies knowledge of best practices derived from experience and external networking to solve a range of complex technical and operational problems.
  • Takes a new perspective on existing solutions to solve complex problems. Exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information. Explains and interprets complex, difficult, or sensitive information.
  • Leads small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements; plays significant roles in larger, more complex initiatives. Impacts a range of client, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams.
  • Oversee workflow, solve problems, coach, mentor, assist with interview and performance input. May supervise contractor-only teams or work efforts.
