As a Strategic Communications Specialist, you'll support senior leaders by creating strategic communications, plans, and products for internal and external customers and stakeholders by creating and managing reoccurring deliverables and special projects, including briefings, talking points, speeches, memos, bullet background papers, and leadership messaging. You’ll contribute to internal efforts, including leadership meetings and program reviews, to help streamline top-down and bottom-up communications highlighting key messages, top priorities, and potential issue areas. You'll expertly support senior leaders, pay strict attention to detail, and bring an analytical mindset to each problem. Join us. The world can’t wait.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience working directly with senior leaders in the Department of War or other government agencies
• 5+ years of experience distilling and communicating key messages
• Experience creating briefs, drafting talking points, writing speeches, editing reports, and preparing leaders for events and engagements
• Experience with AI tools and leveraging their benefits for strategic communications purposes
• Knowledge of potential pitfalls of AI
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 products
• Ability to work without direct supervision, proactively engage and solve problems, and display a dynamic work ethic
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree

Nice To Haves

• Experience working directly with Flag or General Officers
• Experience with DoW space programs
• Possession of excellent analytical skills
• Possession of excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Top Secret clearance
