About The Position
The Strategic Communications & Outreach Specialist will support of a federal national security agency by planning and executing strategic communications and outreach activities that translate complex mission and technical concepts into clear, actionable messaging for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED TS/SCI Federal or DoD security clearance with a COUNTERINTELLIGENCE (CI) polygraph
- Bachelor’s Degree
- FOUR (4) or more years' experience in strategic communications, public affairs, and/or stakeholder engagement
Nice To Haves
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work directly with technical and executive audiences
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Intelligence Community or Department of Defense experience
- Familiarity with JIRA or similar collaboration tools
- Experience supporting classified environments
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute internal and external communication strategies aligned to mission objectives
- Produce executive‑level briefings, reports, presentations, and written materials
- Plan and conduct external user and stakeholder briefings
- Collect, synthesize, and communicate stakeholder feedback to internal teams
- Ensure consistent messaging across threads, components, and partners
- Translate technical content into accessible messaging for non‑technical audiences
- Track effectiveness of communications and recommend improvements
