About The Position

If you’ve got a passion for driving access control technologies and the market into the future, we’d love to hear from you! Axis is seeking a Strategic Advisor, Access Control for the Americas - an industry thought leader who will drive our position in the access control space. This person will work internally and externally to promote and aid the sale of our solutions within key vertical markets, enhance our access control partner ecosystem, and drive industry standards and best practices through networking, articles, speaking engagements and industry relations. The selected individual will be based out of our Americas HQ in Chelmsford, MA as a preferred location. Qualified remote candidates considered, provided a candidate is proximate to an airport and can perform job responsibilities during Eastern Time Zone (ET) business hours.

Requirements

  • Extensive, expert knowledge and reputation in access control industry
  • Ability to research and present data and strategy in consumable format
  • Resilient and flexible driver of change, with outstanding communication skills
  • Ability to effectively motivate in time sensitive environment
  • Self-motivated and high level of professionalism with strong independent drive
  • Resourceful team player, with solid technical skills and aptitude

Nice To Haves

  • 10+ years’ experience in business development of access control solutions
  • Experience public speaking and writing articles
  • Strong network in the physical security and access control industry

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Axis’ external face in access control through thought leadership, speaking, and publishing articles
  • Create and deliver a strategic though leadership framework and communication plan, in alignment with Axis’ go-to-market strategy, complete with KPIs
  • Build network of trusted, strategic partnerships for our access control solutions, enhancing our offering through 3rd party platform integration
  • Collaborate with marketing on strategy & deliverables to improve Axis messaging and brand
  • Recommend best practices and provide support and coordination for major projects; deliver high profile wins in key target accounts
  • Coordinate internally on long-term strategic direction, roadmap and solution needs based on market research & demands
  • Build relationships with potential and existing customers, integrators and ecosystem partners
  • Drive standards efforts through industry relations, and support Government relations in identifying legislation with potential business impact
  • Provide relevant and timely education to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify and research new markets, to drive additional solution opportunities
  • Actively participate in national and global industry events and other promotional activities
  • Support other strategic product growth areas as identified
