Summary: This role involves reconciling accounts within an assigned portfolio and ensuring timely resolution of payment discrepancies. It also includes assisting with the collection of overdue invoices. The position requires building and sustaining relationships with customers, branches, and national support teams to minimize write-offs and improve cash flow.
Requirements
- Solid understanding of Accounts Receivable and general accounting principles
- Minimum of 2 years of Accounts Receivable experience preferred
- Strong in Excel, able to use features to aid in data analysis (pivot tables, vlookup, etc.)
- Ability to multitask and exercise a high degree of accuracy
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem solving and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Nice To Haves
- Previous AS400 or Agility experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Reconcile account aging for assigned portfolio
- Prompt resolution on payment discrepancies using customers’ proprietary online portals
- Research and resolve account variances with focus on trend recognition
- Escalate account issues as needed for timely resolution
- Assist in collection of past due invoices
- Develop and maintain positive relationships through effective communication with customers, branches, and support teams
- Prepare and process various journal entries in accordance with company policy and procedure
- Identify opportunities to streamline AR functions
