About The Position

This position is responsible for sales penetration for a specific group of accounts within a geographic territory or region. The incumbent is expected to maximize territory growth by developing meaningful customer relationships that yield account value and sales. We are seeking a Strategic Account Manager to lead one of our most significant partnerships: a major national retail account with broad reach and high visibility. This role is responsible for driving growth, strengthening executive‑level relationships, and delivering exceptional value through strategic planning, cross-functional collaboration, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate brings a blend of strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and hands-on account leadership. You will serve as the primary point of contact for this key customer, ensuring alignment between their business objectives and our solutions while identifying opportunities to expand and deepen the partnership.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing large, complex accounts—preferably within retail, consumer goods, or a related industry.
  • Demonstrated success in strategic account planning, revenue growth, and relationship management.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand customer priorities and translate them into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence without authority.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver’s license required/Motor Vehicle Report Required

Responsibilities

  • Own the overall account strategy for a major national retailer, including long-term planning, quarterly business reviews, and annual growth targets.
  • Develop and maintain strong executive and operational relationships across the customer’s organization, becoming a trusted advisor and strategic partner.
  • Identify and pursue new revenue opportunities, including product expansion, program enhancements, and innovative solutions tailored to the customer’s needs.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Product) to ensure seamless execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor account performance, analyze trends, and proactively address risks or gaps in service delivery.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and program terms to support mutual growth and profitability.
  • Represent the voice of the customer internally, influencing product roadmaps, service improvements, and strategic initiatives.
  • Deliver accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting to leadership.
