About The Position

Danfoss Power Solutions is looking for a Strategic Account Leader (SAL) to spearhead our partnership and growth initiatives with Applied Industrial Technologies (AIT) within the U.S. aftermarket and MRO sectors. This pivotal role focuses on accelerating revenue growth, deepening executive-level relationships, and fostering collaboration between Danfoss and AIT Service Centers to ensure a smooth and exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate is a strategic visionary, skilled relationship builder, and proactive change agent who excels in a matrixed environment and is driven to expand the aftermarket business. This is a remote position requiring approximately 25% travel. The base salary range for this role is $125,000 - $140,000, commensurate with experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of strategic account or channel management experience in hydraulics, motion control, or industrial distribution.
  • Proven ability to manage large, complex distributor relationships and deliver measurable sales growth.
  • Strong business acumen with demonstrated success driving profitability and market share.
  • Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
  • Comfortable leading through influence within a matrix organization.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or advanced business/engineering degree.
  • Experience collaborating directly with senior executives (Director and VP levels).
  • 5+ years managing distributor or channel relationships.
  • Background in the aftermarket or MRO segment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic relationship with AIT, developing and executing a joint business plan that accelerates aftermarket growth and expands Danfoss' market share.
  • Build a strong sales pipeline by identifying conversion opportunities, driving pricing discipline, and coordinating key product initiatives across all AIT locations.
  • Partner, train and motivate a team of Account Managers (AMs), Inside Technical Support, and Sales Specialists to ensure consistent national execution and local follow-through.
  • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to measure performance, review strategic initiatives, and align future actions.
  • Develop senior-level relationships within AIT, positioning Danfoss as the preferred partner for hydraulic and motion solutions.
  • Act as the voice of the customer within Danfoss, ensuring internal alignment across product, pricing, logistics, marketing, and technical functions.
  • Lead communication and coordination between Danfoss regional sales and AIT's corporate teams to align programs, inventory, and go-to-market activities.
