About The Position

Operate commercial vehicles transferring donation containers and/or processed goods in a safe and efficient manner.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 2 year driving experience
  • current WA state driver’s license
  • Must be able to pass Pre-Employment drug and alcohol test.
  • Lifting and carrying 30 – 40 pounds
  • Developed fine motor control (grasp, handle, manipulate objects with fingers
  • Standing for long periods of time; frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, stooping, squatting, pushing; climbing ladders.
  • Able to travel across a variety of surfaces (stairs, ramps, uneven terrain).
  • Organizing, sorting, categorizing, counting, adding, subtracting
  • Interpreting data

  • Completing written orders
  • Indoor/outdoor working environment, temperature varies, exposure to dust.
  • Skilled (demonstrates ample knowledge and skills of duties, with 1-3 years of experience) or Expert (demonstrates exceptional knowledge and skills of duties, and excellence in all areas)

Responsibilities

  • Drive commercial vehicles to designated locations including, but not limited to, inner city traffic.
  • Drive and maintain company vehicles in a safe, efficient manner.
  • Transport donation containers from ADS site to plant or outside stores.
  • Transport processed goods to outlying stores.
  • Transport waste to transfer station.
  • Pick up special donations and deliver goods as requested.
  • Build and maintain internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate safe work practices through awareness and observation in support of a safety culture; reports any potential hazards or accidents.
  • Adhere to Seattle Goodwill and DOT rules and regulations.
  • Perform the functions of production worker when needed.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
