About The Position

WithersRavenel is hiring a Project Manager to join our growing and collaborative Stormwater team. In this role, the individual will lead, and support stormwater projects focused on stormwater management, watershed planning, drainage design, flood mitigation, and environmental compliance. They will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions that support community development across North Carolina and beyond. They will serve as a coach and mentor to junior staff, supporting their development and contributing to a strong, team-oriented culture. The Project Manager will play a key role in guiding technical execution, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to a high standard of quality. This is a hybrid role working out of our downtown Charlotte, North Carolina office, where employees and supervisors collaborate to establish an in- and out-of-office schedule that “works” for all involved. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of Stormwater engineering/industry experience with demonstrated team management experience
  • Professional Engineer License
  • Self-motivated, engaged, and team-oriented with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision
  • Strong leadership and project management skills as well as excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of contracts, accounting principles, including budgeting and forecasting
  • Execute multiple tasks under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven track record of fostering existing client relationships
  • Demonstrate personal investment in your career
  • Energetic, flexible, confident, and forward thinking

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient in modeling tools such as HEC-RAS, SWMM, or similar software (preferred)
