About The Position

Freese and Nichols is looking for Stormwater Project Manager in Denton, Texas. As Stormwater Project Manager, you will lead complex stormwater and flood risk reduction projects that help communities manage growth, protect people and property, and plan for long-term resilience. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas
  • 6+ years of experience in stormwater management and drainage design
  • Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary project teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with internal and external clients

Nice To Haves

  • 8+ years of experience in stormwater management
  • Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM)
  • Experience leading client-facing stormwater and flood risk reduction programs
  • Background supporting proposal development and business growth efforts

Responsibilities

  • Lead floodplain studies, stormwater management plans, watershed master plans, and design of capital improvement projects
  • Serve as technical lead using industry tools such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, InfoWorks ICM, GIS, and CAD
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and financial performance
  • Provide quality control reviews of technical analyses, reports, and design deliverables
  • Prepare, negotiate, and manage project scopes, schedules, and fee estimates
  • Lead technical content for proposals and statements of qualifications
  • Plan, direct, and supervise work of engineers, technicians, and other project team members
  • Mentor and develop junior staff engineers while supporting long-term team capability
