The Department of Facilities Management is responsible for meeting the University's ever-changing needs. Located within Facilities Management, Utility Services is responsible for the maintenance, repairs, and upkeep associated with the storm sewer water collection system on the Norman Campus. Essential Duties : Assists with repairs, installs, troubleshooting of the water, sewer, and natural gas distribution and collection systems. Uses vac-truck and hand tools to clean and repair water collection systems Identifies and documents the location of water collection systems and areas of repair. Ensures all operations and equipment are in good, safe working order by performing regular inspections, maintenance, and repair-related equipment and systems. Performs assembly and modification under the direction of Utility Services using hand and power tools. Assists with troubleshooting and making repairs to mechanical systems. Troubleshoots simplified electrical panels, pumps, valves, and piping systems. Reads gas, electric, and water meters as needed. Assists with ordering supplies and machine parts as needed.
