As a Stores Pricing Specialist, you will utilize various business and technical skills to help Gordon Food Service develop and execute customer price strategies for Gordon Food Service Store, while working closely with many different teams.

Requirements

  • Complex Problem Solving ability in identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Mathematical / statistical aptitude required.
  • Communication ability to explain complex logic so that it can be translated into systems.
  • Demonstration of solid influencing and peer leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to train other teams in the value and use of new processes and tools.
  • Demonstration of a high level of detail management and follow through.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Able to display tact, diplomacy, and integrity.
  • Knowledge of spreadsheet, database, word processing, presentation, e-mail applications
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
  • Ability to quickly learn new proprietary business and reporting systems along with new external systems and how the two integrate and work together.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of pricing software preferred.
  • Knowledge is use of Business Intelligence tools preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Create, monitor, and adjust effective pricing that aligns with the Store pricing strategy and organizational sales and profit goals and objectives.
  • Implement and oversee default shelf price, competitive, promotional, and liquidation pricing.
  • Analyze effectiveness of pricing in support of defined pricing strategies.
  • Execute price review for product categories on a pre-determined schedule.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance cost and work with category managers to resolve issues or implement improvements.
  • Evaluate item price requests from sales and stores and execute agreed upon direction.
  • Participate with the pricing manager and the organization as a whole in the development of pricing strategies and tools.
  • Participate in development and implementation of strategies that span multiple banners.
  • Provide expertise in documenting the expected impact of strategic pricing changes.
  • Collaborate with others to execute the transition of stores to new pricing strategies.
  • Maintain knowledge of current pricing trends, insights, and innovation.
  • Support projects with Price Impact.
