About The Position

Under general supervision, receives, stores, and distributes food, beverages, supplies, materials, and equipment. Leads and trains subordinate personnel. Reviews and pulls orders, manages schedules, receives, stores, delivers, and distributes food, beverages, supplies and catering equipment to designated locations. Set up and assist at events.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED AND Two years related work experience.
  • General knowledge of the procedures and practices of issuing and storing supplies, materials, and equipment.
  • Skill in operating warehouse material handling equipment.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematics; to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; to follow directions; to provide guidance and instruction to others; to operate computers and other standard office equipment; to establish and maintain effective work relationships; to perform extensive standing, walking, and climbing; to lift, transport and stock assigned supplies and materials; to wear and work in personal protective equipment.
  • Must have and maintain a driver’s license valid in Maryland with less than 5 points.
  • Must pass a DOT physical and drug test prior to hire.
  • Must maintain a DOT physical certification and successfully complete a random drug screening program.
  • Must have or obtain/maintain a Prince George’s County Food Service Managers certification within 90 days of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Must be able to work a variable schedule based on events.
  • Experience driving a truck of more than 10,001 pounds but less than 26,000 pounds; transporting food and beverages and delivery and set up of catered events preferred.
  • Outstanding guest service and oral and written communications skills.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including some nights and weekends.
