Storekeeper I (Part-Time)
About The Position
The County of San Luis Obispo Sheriff's Office is seeking candidates to fill a part-time Storekeeper I vacancy. Storekeeper I is part of a career series for Storekeeper I and II. Classes in this series perform a variety of duties in County stores facilities, such as ordering, receiving, storing, and issuing commissary orders to inmates; maintaining accurate inventory and accounting records; and doing other related work as required. Under general supervision a Storekeeper I performs a variety of duties in the ordering, receipt, storage and issuance of supplies; may direct the work of stock clerks in performing routine duties or in the absence of stores supervision. The ideal candidate will have warehouse and/or inventory control experience, as well as experience with computer/database programs.
Requirements
- Six months of experience in the ordering, receiving, storing and issuing of supplies, including experience in basic computer operations.
- A valid driver's license is required at the time of application.
- A valid California driver's license is required at the time of appointment and must be maintained throughout employment.
